Statement
Dag van de Dans in Vlaanderen en Brussel vindt elk jaar plaats op de zaterdag vóór International Dance Day op 29 april. In het buitenland oogsten choreografen en dansers uit onze regio veel lof en waardering. Zeker Brussel, en bij uitbreiding Vlaanderen, is uitgegroeid tot een belangrijke aantrekkingspool in het internationale danslandschap. In eigen land kan de spreiding en zichtbaarheid echter veel beter.
De Dag van de Dans is een uitnodiging aan het grote publiek om nader kennis te maken met de wereld van de hedendaagse dans, om zo deze kunstvorm meer bekend én bemind te maken.

La Journée de la Danse en Flandre et à Bruxelles a lieu chaque année le samedi précédant la Journée Internationale de la Danse, le 29 avril. A l’étranger, les chorégraphes et les danseurs de notre région récoltent beaucoup d'éloges et d'appréciation. Cependant, la propagation et la visibilité peuvent être beaucoup mieux à la maison.
La Journée de la Danse est une invitation au grand public à se familiariser avec le monde de la danse contemporaine, afin de faire connaître et aimer cette forme d'art.

Dance Day in Flanders and Brussels takes place anually on the saturday before International Day of Dance on the 29th of April. In foreign countries, choreographers and dancers from our region harvest a lot of praise and appreciation. Certainly Brussels, and by extension Flanders, has become an important attraction pole in the international dance landscape. However, the spread and visibility can be much better in our home country.
Dance Day is an invitation to the public to get acquainted with the world of contemporary dance, in order to make this art form more known and loved.
